Our first yet major fundraising event!

Celebrated on 8 March, International Women's Day (IWD) is the global day connecting all women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential.

Thus, Rotaract eClub of District 3310 (ReD 3310) and Interact Club of ITE College East are organising this meaningful event to create awareness among ladies in managing a healthy, successful and balanced lifestyle, while hosting a platform where women could get together.

In addition, “Living Well and Loving It” is a fundraising event.

Where will your contributions go to?

Rotaract eClub of District 3310 (ReD 3310) consisting of youthful students and working adults who are committed to serve the community at large, engage in social entrepreneurship to fund for local and overseas community service projects.

Since our charter on 13th December 2007, ReD 3310 planned a few community service projects, such as:

establishing an agreement with Singapore Disable Sport Council (SDSC) as to support and campaign for the organization, creating awareness among the general public,

raising USD 1,500 to donate a house in Brookside, Philippines for the homeless poor,

assist in developing a village in West Timor through education, light to moderate labour work such as harvesting, cooking, etc, and

sending teams of delegates for Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) in Manila, Philippines and leadership training, such as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

With the support of the community, ReD 3310 can do more to benefit the less fortunate.

Purchase your tickets for the stimulating event while doing your part for the community!

Trip to Philippines for 10th MUNA

CP Idah and Wany made a trip to Manila, Philippines for the 10th Model United Nations Assembly held on the 9th and 10th of February. Idah went as a delegate of Venezuela, and managed to draft a resolution together with delegate of Colombia, Wany, regarding the political issue of "humane and effective measures of disarming and reintegrating child soldiers into civil society". It is with great pleasure to report that the drafted resolution was further improved on by other delegates and it passed in the Political Forum on the first day of the debate! Unfortunately, it did not passed on the second day in the General Assembly. Nonetheless, it was a great effort by the delegates!

Also, Rotaract Club of Hong Kong North representative CP Patrick Chu, was present as the delegate of Canada. We are pleased to report that there was an unofficial agreement made for ReD 3310 to form a twin club with the Rotaract Club of Hong Kong North. CP Patrick has informally agreed and efforts are being made to make it official.

Although the turnout is not as great, I'm sure everyone present had a great time bowling. We all look forward to a more successful fellowship gathering!

13 December 2007 - Charter Night

Today, we made history. The first cyber-based Rotaract club out of U.S. is born; definitely the first in Asia! The charter members of ReD 3310 (Rotaract eClub of District 3310) would like to thank all guests, especially to our Guest of Honour PP Fancy Tan and special thanks to PP Matthew Phua for the advice to the proceedings.
